Melt away the pain and stress with an escape to our far-infrared sauna.

How it works

Far infrared sauna is different than a traditional steam sauna. Far infrared waves penetrate into our body and activate the sweat glands. The sweat glands are one of the tools that the body has to eliminate toxins. Our skin is the largest organ of the human body and has been called “the third kidney” due to its ability to discharge large amounts of waste material through the sweat glands. It is one of the best mechanisms the body has for elimination.

A study by S.Inouye and M. Kabaya showed that far infrared has the ability to cause a vibration in human tissue if wavelengths similar to the ones produced by the body are introduced. When introduced in the proper wavelengths of 9.3 to 9.4 microns, water molecules can begin to vibrate. This vibration reduces the ion bonds of water and the eventual breakdown causes encapsulated gasses and other toxic materials to be released to be eliminated.

Weight loss support is another benefit of far-infrared sauna therapy. In a two-phase, sauna weight loss study conducted by Binghamton University in New York revealed that an increase in core body temperature resulted in a decrease in body fat. It concluded that people who used a Clearlight Premier IS-3 infrared sauna three times a week for 30 minutes per session dropped an average of 4 percent body fat over a four-month period. For a 175-pound man, that represents a weight reduction of seven pounds.

Participants who experienced infrared sauna weight loss did not change their exercise or diet patterns during the study. Control groups in the study who did not use the Clearlight Sauna® showed no drop in weight. The study findings illustrate the significant boost that infrared therapy provides for our weight loss goals.

Additional benefits of far-infrared sauna include relief from stress and fatigue, improved joint pain and stiffness, detoxification support and improved sleep. Schedule your session today!
